[322] เถรธรรม 10 (คุณธรรมที่ทำให้พระเถระอยู่สำราญในที่ทุกสถาน - Theradhamma: qualities which make for happy living of an elder monk)

1. เถโร รตฺตญฺญู (เป็นผู้ใหญ่ บวชนาน รู้เห็นกิจการ ทรงจำเรื่องราวไว้ได้มาก - Thero rattaññū: to be an elder monk of long experience)

2. สีลวา (มีศีล เคร่งครัดในสิกขาบททั้งหลาย - Sīlavā: to be virtuous; to have good conduct)

3. พหุสฺสุโต (เป็นพหูสูตทรงความรู้ - Bahussuto: to be much learned)

4. สฺวาคตปาติโมกฺโข (ทรงปาติโมกข์ รู้หลักแห่งวินัย แคล่วคล่อง ชำนิชำนาญ สามารถวินิจฉัยได้ด้วยดี - Svāgatapāṭimokkho: to be well versed in the codes of discipline)

5. อธิกรณสมุปฺปาทวูปสมกุสโล (ฉลาดในการระงับอธิกรณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น - Adhikaraṇasamuppādavūpasamakusalo: to be skilled in settling a legal question that has arisen)

6. ธมฺมกาโม (เป็นผู้ใคร่ธรรม รักความรู้ รักความจริง รู้จักรับฟังและรู้จักพูด ทำให้เป็นที่ชื่นชมสนิทสนมสบายใจ น่าเข้าไปปรึกษาสนทนา และชอบศึกษา ยินดีปรีดาในหลักธรรมหลักวินัยที่ยิ่งๆ ขึ้นไป - Dhammakāmo: to love the Dhamma, be pleasant to consult and converse with, and find joy in the advanced teaching of both the Doctrine and the Discipline)

7. สนฺตุฏฺโฐ (เป็นผู้สันโดษด้วยปัจจัยสี่ตามมีตามได้ - Santuṭṭho: to be content with whatsoever supply of the four requisites he may get)

8. ปาสาทิโก (จะไปจะมา มีอาการกิริยาน่าเลื่อมใส แม้เข้าไปในละแวกบ้าน ก็สำรวมเป็นอันดี - Pāsādiko: to be charming and perfectly composed in his goings out and comings in and in sitting in the house)

9. ฌานลาภี (ได้แคล่วคล่องในฌาน 4 ที่เป็นเครื่องอยู่สุขสบายในปัจจุบัน - Jhānalābhī: to be able to gain pleasure of the Four Absorptions)

10. วิมุตฺโต (บรรลุเจโตวิมุตติปัญญาวิมุตติ สิ้นอาสวะ - Vimutto: to have gained the Deliverance)
