[57] อริยบุคคล 8 แยกเป็น มรรคสมังคี (ผู้พร้อมด้วยมรรค) 4, ผลสมังคี (ผู้พร้อมด้วยผล) 4

1. โสดาบัน (ท่านผู้บรรลุโสดาปัตติผลแล้ว, พระผู้ตั้งอยู่ในโสดาปัตติผล - one who has entered the Stream; one established in the Fruition of Stream-Entry; Stream-Enterer)

2. ท่านผู้ปฏิบัติเพื่อทำให้แจ้งโสดาปัตติผล (พระผู้ตั้งอยู่ในโสดาปัตติมรรค - one who has worked for the realization of the Fruition of Stream-Entry; one established in the Path of Stream-Entry)

3. สกทาคามี (ท่านผู้บรรลุสกทาคามิผลแล้ว, พระผู้ตั้งอยู่ในสกทาคามิผล - one who is a Once-Returner; one established in the Fruition of Once-Returning)

4. ท่านผู้ปฏิบัติเพื่อทำให้แจ้งสกทาคามิผล (พระผู้ตั้งอยู่ในสกทาคามิมรรค - one who has worked for the realization of the Fruition of Once-Returning; one established in the Path of Once-Returning)

5. อนาคามี (ท่านผู้บรรลุอนาคามิผลแล้ว, พระผู้ตั้งอยู่ในอนาคามิผล - one who is a Non-Returner; one established in the Fruition of Non-Returning)

6. ท่านผู้ปฏิบัติเพื่อทำให้แจ้งอนาคามิผล (พระผู้ตั้งอยู่ในอนาคามิมรรค - one who has worked for the realization of the Fruition of Non-Returning; one established in the Path of Non-Returning)

7. อรหันต์ (ท่านผู้บรรลุอรหัตตผลแล้ว, พระผู้ตั้งอยู่ในอรหัตตผล - one who is an Arahant; one established in the Fruition of Arahantship)

8. ท่านผู้ปฏิบัติเพื่อทำให้แจ้งอรหัตตผล (พระผู้ตั้งอยู่ในอรหัตตมรรค - one who has worked for the realization of the Fruition of Arahantship; one established in the Path of Arahantship)

ทั้ง 8 ท่านนี้ ในบาลีที่มาทั้งหลายเรียกว่า ทักขิไณยบุคคล 8
