[263] เจตนา หรือ สัญเจตนา 6 หมวด (ความจงใจ, ความตั้งใจ, ความจำนง, ความแสวงหาอารมณ์ - Cetanā; Sañcetanā: volition; choice; will)

1. รูปสัญเจตนา (ความจำนงรูป - Rūpa-sañcetanā: volition concerning visible objects; choice of forms; will directed to forms)

2. สัททสัญเจตนา (ความจำนงเสียง - Sadda-sañcetanā: volition concerning audible objects; choice of sounds; will directed to sounds)

3. คันธสัญเจตนา (ความจำนงกลิ่น - Gandha-sañcetanā: volition concerning odorous objects; choice of odours; will directed to odours)

4. รสสัญเจตนา (ความจำนงรส - Rasa-sañcetanā: volition concerning sapid objects; choice of tastes; will directed to tastes)

5. โผฏฐัพพสัญเจตนา (ความจำนงโผฏฐัพพะ - Phoṭṭhabba-sañcetanā: volition concerning tangible objects; choice of tangible objects; will directed to bodily impressions)

6. ธัมมสัญเจตนา (ความจำนงธรรมารมณ์ - Dhamma-sañcetanā: volition concerning ideational objects; choice of ideas; will derected to mental objects)

หกอย่างนี้ เรียกเต็มตามศัพท์ว่า เจตนากาย หรือ สัญเจตนากาย 6 (กองเจตนา หมวดเจตนา - bodies of choice; classes of volition)
